A2. ‘Mind Games’ (Down Tempo track)
B1. ‘Groove Therapy’ GRAND UNIFIED remix
B2. ‘Visions’
On 26th June
2000 Ipswich based Rob Soloman, aka LEXIS, is to release his sixth
12” on Certificate 18 Records.
A taster for his forthcoming debut album, ‘Branch of knowledge’,
which is out the same day on Certificate18, ‘Groove Therapy’ was
originally released on LTJ BUKEM’s Good Looking Records where, with
hardly any promotion, it became one of the label’s biggest sellers
to date.
To be released
as a 4 track 12”, the vinyl kicks off with LEXIS’ mate PHOTEK’s
remix of the title track, and also included ‘Mind Games’ (featuring
on this promo copy).
The B-side: ‘Visions’ and Second skin’s Grand Unified’s remix of
‘Groove Therapy’ are available on the finish copies.
Having set up both Behind The Groove and Rude Boy Records, LEXIS
has also worked with Good Looking, Fabio’s Creative Source and Moving
Shadow Records, and the 12”, like his eagerly anticipated LP, ably
shows both his versatility and creativity.
A hugely underrated
talent, Rob has also contributed tracks to the popular ‘Desert Strom’
compilations, and having negotiated uncharted territory in the Drum’n’bass
scene, ‘Groove Therapy’ is set to ignite interest in ‘Branch of
Knowledge’, an album which draws you into LEXIS’ critically acclaimed
best works since 1996.
