The big Beat sound of Brighton has been replaced by many new exciting musicians. None more so than Certificate 18's very own PILOTE (pronounced like 'if you take pills a lot' ).

His first single from the 'Do it now man' album due to demand had to be 'Nelson'. Now with a much louder cut can fit into those sets crafted out by DJs.

To challenge the original PILOTE pairs up with fellow Brighton compardre DJ Ziggy to create Basic Sound. Having already had one release on Blue Juice recordings Basic Sound beef up Nelson with an easier flowing groove in a down tempo style. A remix with more ambience, style and oozing with class… This is Basic Sound.

The less you know about Richard Sands the better. When originally asked if he wanted 'to remix Paul Oakenfold' he pulled a gun on us. When the situation was explained he calmed down and has turned in a typically dark & abstract mix.
