Norwegian Drum’n’bass supremo POLAR is back with another killer
12’’ on Certificate 18 Records.
Described by Muzik as being like ‘Orbital jamming over Photek’ :
K has been busy picking up plaudits from the whole Drum’n’bass community
from Ram, Metalheadz and Fabio to leftfield leadors such as Gilles
Peterson. Already POLAR’s debut album ’37°C & Falling’ has gained
him industry support from around the globe.
Biosfear / Implants is his latest outing and demonstrates POLAR’s
unique ability to adapt different sources for the purposes of Drum’n’bass
futurism.
Biosfear has full Electro credentials, from the intro bleeps, through
the modulated vocals to the filtered drum drops and squelching analogue
bass.
Implants takes an old skool techno vibe and warps takes it future
bound. Cut up breaks, resonant bass tones and filtered synth sweeps
set the scene for an ominous journey into deep waters.
Already
causing a stir with DJ’s up & down the country, Biosfear / Implants
looks set to take the POLAR project another step forward into future
electronica.
Watch out for
Polar second album to come out next may on Certificate 18!
