Having already produced one of, or possibly the finest Drum’n’bass
LPs of last year ’37°C & Falling’, POLAR from the same town in Norway
as DJ TEEBEE brings back his debut yet classic ‘Mind of a killer’
which was released on Certificate 18’s ‘Hidden Rooms Vol.II’.
Set to do a full-length album later in the year. POLAR gives us
a taster of what’s to come after his sensational remix of this classic,
which caught the ears of many including Gilles Peterson - who went
on to play and license it to his new Gilles Peterson World Compilation.
Skillfully enhancing all areas of the original POLAR manages to
arrange this rhythmical masterpiece into something much bigger which
will set alight the wiser dancefloors and set the standard of remixes
to come.
IAN SIMMONDS / JURYMAN invited to remix the flip lives up to this
standard by dropping the tempo, stripping it down into the darkest,
yet most blissed out organic Jazz style virtuoso you have ever heard.
If this is not enough to satisfy; the original mix continues
to thrill on a 12” format.
